This adjustment is necessary because of a significant increase in the global cost of cacao beans. Recent climate events have exacerbated existing challenges in West Africa, where most of the world’s cacao comes from. This region is a primary source for “the big five” chocolate / candy corporations, and these challenges have significantly impacted them. While we do not source from Africa, the global cacao shortage has triggered a domino effect. Larger companies are seeking cacao from a wider range of suppliers, including smaller farms that are able to buy larger volumes.

We remain committed to sourcing high-quality, organic cacao beans while supporting ethical practices. We work exclusively with certified organic social enterprises that ensure fair compensation for farmers throughout the supply chain. While we've absorbed some of the recent cost increases into our business model, to maintain this commitment and continue providing you with the best cacao products possible, a price increase is unavoidable.

We understand this may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your continued support and understanding. We're monitoring the situation closely, and if cacao prices stabilise, we'll be happy to adjust our prices accordingly.
