Can you drink cacao at night?
Technically speaking, you can do whatever you like! But also, it really depends on your tolerance for stimulants.
Cacao contains Theobromine, which is a natural stimulant very similar to caffeine but not as strong or intense. Think caffeine = peak + crash, whereas Theobromine = gentle boost. Cacao does contain small amounts of caffeine too (our beans have 0.22%). So if you're someone who is sensitive to stimulants we'd recommend having your main cacao in the morning.
If you're one of those lucky peeps who can drink tea or coffee at night and fall fast asleep afterwards, then we reckon you'll be just fine with an evening cacao.
Many of our customers do drink hot cacao in the late afternoon or evening as they find it relaxing. Cacao contains a good source of magnesium which is great to calm our nervous system down.
The best way to find out is to have a cacao in the afternoon, see how you feel. Then extend out the times each day and see how you feel each time.

Is it essential not to consume tea/coffee at all during the day when consuming even just 18g cacao in the morning —
