Iced Cacao Drink

Hot days call for cool rituals—and this one’s rich, refreshing, and actually good for you. This is our go-to iced cacao recipe when the weather heats up. It’s simple, delicious, and totally customisable. Want to zhuzh it up? Add a dash of chai mix (here's one we made earlier). 

ingredients
  • 20g nibbed cacao 
  • 180ml plant-milk of choice
  • 20ml hot water (not boiling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • glass full of ice-cubes
  • 1 teaspoon of maple syrup (or sweetener of choice) - add more to taste
method
  1. In a jug or big glass, add the cacao, cinnamon, sweetener (if using) and vanilla into the small amount of hot water
  2. Froth/stir to melt and mix together 
  3. Pour the cold milk in and froth/mix some more
  4. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the cacao
